The unofficial king of Norway, Ralph Myerz, returns to the dance floor with the release of the Recovery by R.E.C., a side-project with fellow Vikings Eddie Da Bass and Carina Faye.
1. R.E.C x Ane Brun – Directions (Ralph Myerz 5am Eternal ReWork) – Ane Brun is a Norwegian treasure. Ralph remembers her as the cool girl at the local record store that everybody said had such a beautiful voice. Coming from the same Bergen scene, it’s strange that it too eighteen years before they worked together, but this is somehow the way things are done in Bergen. People rarely collaborate musically. Her voice is perfect for the deep house beats of R.E.C.
2. Sippin’ is a classic peak time dance floor filler which already has done damage from road tests by a few selected Norwegian DJs.
3. R.E.C x DJ Sneak – Funky Rhythm (Ralph Myerz 5am Eternal ReWork) takes the Sneak classic into Norwegian disco world perfect for those opening sets and done with the utmost respect for the king of filterz, DJ Sneak. This one has a nice little groove that will enter your brain and stay there while you follow Sneak’s instructions to dance. Very much inspired by early ‘90s filter disco with a little update for 2017.
4. Let Me Show You (feat. Kat Capone) – Kat Capone is a long time friend and collaborator from New York. She has several very cool EP’s out and has also previously featured on Ralph’s music. This track started out as a remix of one of Kat’s tracks, but went on to be something completely different and very dancefloor friendly!
5. The Nod is an eleven-minute long trippy journey into house deeper than Atlantis. It’s 5am eternal music.
6. Recovery is R.E.C. at its darkest, most moody, venturing into the land of acid and echo. Strictly basement music or music4lateniteridez.
